We would like to invite undergraduate and postgraduate students, post-docs and others to take part in the seventh Philosopher’s Rally, international and bilingual conference, which will take place in Torun on 24-26 of June 2011. We wish to create a welcoming atmosphere for a dialogue between philosophy and related disciplines like logic, linguistics, cognitive science, psychology, sociology and cultural studies.

We will try to make this year’s Rally attractive and expressive. Besides presentations of submitted papers, we plan lectures by invited guests, promotions of newly published books, other scientific meetings and workshops as well as accompanying cultural events. Papers accepted by our Advisory Board will be published in a special, post-conference issue.

Giving no preference to any particular topic for the conference, we expect papers concerning a wide range of issues, that we wish to arrange into thematic sections. We encourage participants to write their papers in English in order to support the international status of the Rally. Applications with an abstract of the proposed paper (max. 250 words) should be submitted by filling out the application form via the “Registration” tab. Deadline for abstracts is 15 May 2011. Speakers with electronic presentations will be provided with the necessary technical equipment (please note requirements in application form). The participants will have 30 minutes for the presentation and discussion (we suggest approx. 20 minutes for presentation and 10 minutes for discussion). Conference fee is 60 PLN for undergraduate, postgraduate students and others.
