Welcome to the website of the 13th Philosophers’ Rally, a conference that will be held on 6-8 July, 2017, in Wrocław, Poland.

Philosophers’ Rally is an annual conference aimed for students, PhD candidates, academic researchers working in human and social sciences, particularly in the field of philosophy. The first edition of the Rally took place in 2004 and since then it has been organised every year at one of the notable Polish academic centres (for example in Warsaw, Cracow, Toruń, Poznań, Lublin, Łódź) by Centre for Philosophical Research and a local university. This year the local Organizer is the University of Wrocław. The conference is held under the auspices of Prof. Adam Jezierski, Rector of the University of Wrocław.

The purpose of the Rally is to facilitate a mutual exchange of knowledge and capabilities among participants of different academic levels and experience from both Polish and international philosophy centres. The event is of integrative character and aims to help establish intercultural and international cooperation through the joint activity on academic ground.

During this year’s edition we would like to focus on common problems in philosophy and law studies, especially in the context of the challenges from the contemporary socio-political world.

After the Rally we are planning to release special editions of two academic journals: Studia Philosophica Wratislaviensia and Folia Iuridica Wratislaviensis with the papers by the participants of the Rally.

The lectures and panel discussions are going to be video recorded.

Conference languages: Polish, English.

See you in Wrocław!
